Crystal First Time Fishing

Crystals First Brown Trout _ 21

Crystal's First Brown Trout _ 21"

DRY Run Creek is a special fishery. But its still taken over 12 months for us to get a fly rod in our eldest daughter Crystal’s hand. 4 casts and 3 fish later she finds this great brown.

Dry Run Creek is on fire right now, bring your under-16 fly fishers over and we can help them find fish like these.

We had a great couple of hours on Dry Run. It was as much of a surprise to us that Crystal actually agreed to fish for a little while. Two and a half hours later she finally called it quits, her hands and nose a little cold.
She had probably caught 15-20 trout, not all this size but each was rewarded with a big grin. Lynsey was having fun watching Crystal catch fish for a change.
Dry Run is easy to get around for the kids, though rubber boots are handy, or indeed waders. The casts aren’t too far, though the trees can be a challenge.Just remember to take a big net and a bunch of space on your camera.
